Jerry M. Sullivan, Jr. is a telecommunication pioneer and veteran with nearly three decades of industry experience throughout the various facets of the telecom sector. Mr. Sullivan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Wireless Infrastructure Funds Management, and is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, structuring, financing and executing acquisition and expansion investment opportunities. Throughout his career he has been directly involved in approximately $7 billion of telecommunications acquisitions, dispositions and financings and has been primarily responsible for all aspects of infrastructure and operations applicable to the deployment and ongoing management of numerous cellular, PCS, wireless broadband and fiber networks.
Mr. Sullivan founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Endeiro Capital Partners, LLC, a diversified management and investment firm providing private equity, debt and operating/acquisition support services to telecommunications entrepreneurs in both new and emerging businesses as well as growth-stage companies seeking to expand their existing operations. Since Endeiro Capital Partners, LLC’s inception in 2010, Mr. Sullivan has completed numerous transactions with estimated market values of over $500 million. He has also served on the Board of Directors and/or Board of Managers of various companies including among others, Clearwave Communications, Waterford Consultants, Solution Seven and Disruptive Visions, (formerly Black Dot Holdings).
Mr. Sullivan previously served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Kite Broadband, LLC, which maintained all of the nationwide operations for Sprint Broadband and operated under the Sprint Trademark. Other recognizable industry successes and executive positions include Co-founder of Tritel, Inc. (d/b/a SunCom), an AT&T Wireless PCS affiliate, (formerly NASDAQ: TTEL) where he served as Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was instrumental in securing approximately $1.3 billion in both private and public debt and equity financings for Tritel resulting in one of the most successful wireless affiliate transactions in telecommunications history.
Additionally, he served as Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer of Westower Communications where he implemented numerous processes to support AT&T in its further build out and expansion of its nationwide wireless and communications infrastructure network. Mr. Sullivan has also served as a Director, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mercury Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized cellular management company that began operations in the early 1990’s, as well as similar positions in various cellular operating and/or holding companies, both in the public and private sectors. Mr. Sullivan co-founded and served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mercury International Ventures which pursued numerous wireless investment opportunities in conjunction with Ericsson, Nortel, Motorola and Lucent in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Russia and the Caribbean.
Prior to his tenure in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Sullivan began his career in the oil and gas industry with First Energy Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of ChemFirst, Inc., (formerly NYSE: CEM) and Callon Petroleum Company (NYSE: CPE) where he was responsible for the acquisition, operations and management of approximately $400 million in private investment funds. Based on his successful career in fund management he joined J.C. Bradford & Co., a Nashville based, multi-billion dollar investment banking and brokerage firm focusing his efforts on private and public alternative investments.
Mr. Sullivan is involved in various advisory roles with many telecommunication industry associations, local and state organizations, private foundations as well as educational institutions and charities including Millsaps College and Make-A-Wish Mississippi where he serves on the board of directors. He is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson. Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.
